the step mother to be to write down on a piece of paper the vision she
has for each of her step children, i.e. doctor, astronaut, starbucks barista,
garbage man. Have the shower guests guess her predictions.
Scrampled Stepmother: Create your own word scramble using
words that are associated with stepmotherhood, i.e. evil, Cinderella,
ex-wife, child support, etc.
Stepmother Pictionary: Make cards (size of playing cards)
with words associated with stepmothers on one side (the other side is
left blank). Have each team choose an artist and a contestant. Each artist
reads the word on their card and then draws their interpretation of the
word on a piece of paper. Each contestant tries to guess the word that
her artist team mate is drawing. The team that is correct most often wins
the game. Some good words to use are: Alimony, custody, co-mamma, stepchild,
stepmom, Mirror, mirror.
Who do you know? Have the shower participants write down
the number of stepmothers they know personally. Then have them write down
the fictitious stepmothers they've seen in television or literature. The
person who has the longest list wins.
Who's the Ex Wife? Have each shower participant write
down as much as they know about the ex wife. The person who knows the
most, i.e. name, boyfriend or husband's name, height, weight, interests,
etc. wins.
